Celebrating excellent people practices

The North East HR&D Awards are all about celebrating the contribution of the HR&D profession in the North East whilst raising the profile of the region as a fantastic place to live and work.

We welcome applications from organisations and HR&D professionals throughout the North East of England, and you’ll find a range of categories to choose from - all showcasing the best people practices from those who work in HR, L&D and other specialisms.

Our panel of independent judges are excited to hear all about the fantastic projects you and your team have delivered!  Nominations will open week commencing 27th January 2025 and you'll have until 5pm on Monday 7th April 2025 to enter.

We are delighted to be working again with our partner North East Times (NET) to promote HR&D’s contribution to our region’s economy.  We teamed up with leading multi-channel media organisation NET to deliver the 2024 HR&D Awards and it was a huge success!  NET is a strongly independent regional publisher, which fiercely champions the area, its people and its commercial environment by blending content, community, and commerce to support businesses of all shapes and sizes.
